NEW MEXICO AGATES
Included here are a variety of agates collected from a couple of locations in New Mexico. All of these come generally from the areas around Luna & Apache Creek. I've found that most of the agate that comes from these areas isn't especially colorful, but does have nice banding, snowflakes, tubes, & some good plume. Most colors I've found tend to be gray, black, brown, blue, white, & sometimes slightly pink or a little bit of red. Unfortunately, I've been lax in my cutting duties, so I don't have much in the way of cut pieces to show, mostly just rough for now.
I have tried to represent the colors of the agates as accurately as possible. The unpolished ones are shown wet, & where I have had to adjust the colors to correct for bad lighting or shiny surfaces, I kept them as faithful to the originals as I possibly could
